Welcome to S P Hypnotherapy.
I'm Phil Stone, a qualified, professional Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Herne Bay, Kent. I specialise in self-confidence/self-esteem issues and also sports performance.
My goal is to make the positive benefits of hypnosis affordable and accessible.
I offer traditional, face to face hypnotherapy with total transparency and without gimmicks.
If you're one of the many people who experience a lack of self-confidence or low self-esteem in life or in sport, hypnosis could be the answer.
So what is the difference between self-confidence and self-esteem?
Self-confidence can be described as "the feeling of trust in your own abilities, qualities and judgement." Confidence issues often apply to certain or specific situations.
Self-esteem is your evaluation of your own worth. How you see yourself. How you feel about yourself. Low self-esteem can hold you back in day to day life.
How would your life change if you had more self-confidence, greater self-esteem?
The causes of low self-confidence and/or low self-esteem can be many and varied. Hypnotherapy gives your unconcious mind the opportunity to address these causes, and then helps you to change your own mind and the way you think. In a positive way. This can lead to an increase in your self-confidence and self-esteem, enabling you to move forward in the way you want.
And because self-confidence/self-esteem are needed to perform well in sport, I also specialise in Sports Performance Hypnosis, helping you create a more direct and accurate connection between your mind and body. As a former motorcycle racer I know that the mind is the key to success. Please see following page.
Clinical Hypnotherapy enables you to use your own natural resouces to help change the way you think or behave. In a way that you want.
It's safe, pain free and relaxing.
It can also be incredibly powerful, resulting in amazingly positive results.
"Hypnotherapy is a very powerful means of changing the way we use our minds to control perception and our bodies." (Dr David Spiegel MD)
Please contact me for more information, I'm here to help and you will be under no obligation.

"Your mind is the key"
It's no secret that your mind can affect your performance when it comes to how well you perform in sport. Everyone recognises that self-confidence, self-belief and a positive mental attitude are the foundations to training and performing well. Mental barriers need to be overcome before physical achievment can be attained.
However, that is often easier said than done and if you can answer "yes" to one or more of the following, hypnosis, could be your answer:
Do you experience anxiety before or during an event?
Do you lack self-confidence or self-belief.
Is your motivation or focus lacking?
Perhaps you're struggling to reach the next level?
Do you want to improve your speed, strength or stamina?
Hypnosis can help with all of the above or any other sport related issues.
So if you're involved in team events, solo events or leisure activities at any level from recreational to professional, your mind can be the key to realising your potential.
A natural side effect experienced by many clients is that not only do they feel a positive change in regards to their sport or activity, but also in their day to day lives.

Q. How does hypnotherapy work?
A. When the mind is relaxed through hypnosis, the unconscious becomes much more receptive to positive suggestion which can then bring about a change in the way you want to think and behave.
Q. What does it feel like to be hypnotised?
A. Everyone experiences hypnosis in different ways but it is often described as a combination of relaxation and daydreaming.
Q. Will I be in control during the session?
A. Yes, at all times. You will be free to open your eyes and leave the room at any time during the session should you choose to.
Q. Is it safe to drive after a session?
