I'm Phil Stone, a qualified, professional Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Herne Bay, Kent. My aim is to make hypnotherapy affordable and accessible with total transparency and without gimmicks.
I specialise in working with clients who have self-confidence/self-esteem issues and also those wishing to enhance their performance in sport.
I use the same techniques that have helped countless people over the years, from all walks of life, to change naturally from within and move forward. Confidence builds confidence and this could be the start of your journey.
So what is the difference between self-confidence and self-esteem?
Self-confidence can be described as "the feeling of trust in your own abilities, qualities and judgement." Confidence issues often apply to certain or specific situations. A lack of self-confidence can create self-doubt.
Self-esteem is your evaluation of your own worth. How you see yourself. How you feel about yourself. How much belief you have in yourself. Low self-esteem can hold you back in day to day life.
Naturally, the two are often linked.

Obviously the answer is "yes".
The causes of your low self-confidence and/or low self-esteem may be many and varied. Hypnotherapy can give your unconscious mind the opportunity to address these causes, and then helps you to change your own mind and the way you think. In a positive way. This can lead to an increase in your self-confidence and self-esteem, enabling you to move forward in the way you want.
And because self-confidence and self-esteem are needed to perform well in sport, I also offer Sports Performance Enhancement sessions, helping you create a more direct and accurate connection between your mind and body. Having worked with many sportspeople, including Team GB athletes, I've seen how powerful hypnotherapy can be and as a former motorcycle racer I know that the mind is the key to success. "Your mind is the key"
The way you think can affect your sports performance, in both positive and negative ways. Self-confidence, self-belief and a positive mental attitude are the foundations to training and performing well. Without confidence you can't fully use your abilities. Therefore mental barriers need to be overcome before physical achievement can be attained.
However, it can be easier said than done and that's where my Sports Performance Enhancement sessions come in. Each session is specific to you and can also address other issues such as focus, motivation and apprehension. Hypnotherapy has helped many top level sportspeople achieve success.
Sports Performance Enhancement sessions are suitable for sportspeople at all levels, from recreational through to professional, and I am particularly proud to have worked with athletes from Team GB.
A natural side effect experienced by many clients is that not only do they feel a positive change in regards to their sport or activity, but also in their day to day lives.

Clients must be 16 years or older. Clients who are 16 or 17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the session.
Hypnotherapy is not a substitute for a healthy diet, exercise and/or appropriate and realistic instruction, training and practice. Injuries should be assessed by a Health Professional. I am not qualified to advise on these issues.
If you wear contact lenses please bear in mind that your eyes will be closed for a minimum of 1/2 hour therefore it may be preferable to wear glasses for the session.
Unfortunately hypnotherapy is not suitable for persons suffering from psychosis, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, certain types of brain damage and those who have low cognitive function.
If you are pregnant or suffer from epilepsy, diabetes or asthma, you are advised to speak to your G.P. or Health Professional prior to making an appointment although it's extremely rare that hypnotherapy will not be suitable.
Clients under the influence of mind altering substances (alcohol and/or drugs) are not suitable for a hypnotherapy session.
Please inform me as early as possible if you wish to cancel an appointment as cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur the full fee. If you are late for your appointment we will still need to finish at the allotted time.

Q. How does hypnotherapy work?
A. When the mind is relaxed through hypnosis, the unconscious becomes much more receptive to positive suggestion which can then bring about a change in the way you want to think and behave.
Q. What does it feel like to be hypnotised?
A. Everyone experiences hypnosis in different ways but it is often described as a combination of relaxation and daydreaming.
Q. Will I be in control during the session?
A. Yes, at all times. You will be free to open your eyes and leave the room at any time during the session should you choose to.
