S P Hypnotherapy - combining science and hypnosis.

I'm Phil Stone, a qualified, professional Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Herne Bay, Kent.

My aim is to make Sports Performance hypnosis affordable and accessible with total transparency and without theatrics.

I specialise in working with clients who want to improve their performance in sport. I am proud to have worked with many sportspeople including Team GB athletes.

Mental fitness is as important as physical fitness when it comes to sport. How you think affects the way you perform.

Sports psychology in some form, including hypnotherapy, is now the norm.  Neuroscience shows that there are constant, natural, physical changes happening in the brain. Hypnosis is a way to create positive changes.

As a former motorcycle racer I know the importance of a positive mindset. Small changes in the way you think can bring about big changes in the way you perform.

"Hypnotherapy is a very powerful means of changing the way we use our minds to control perception and our bodies." (Dr David Spiegel MD)

Feel free to contact me, in total confidence and without obligation, for any further information or to book a session.

The science behind hypnotherapy can be simplified into the following.

Neuro pathways. These connect all parts of the brain and control the way we think and behave. The paths that are used the most become the strongest and fastest.

Neuroplasticity. This is the ability for the brain to make new neuro pathways.

Hypnosis.  Can be a short cut, by providing the ideal conditions, to creating new, strong neuro pathways.

Hypnotherapy could therefore help you create a new, automatic and positive way of thinking and behaving.

You could also remove mental barriers and create a more direct connection between your mind and body.

If you're struggling to reach your full potential, hypnosis could be the answer.

Sports Performance sessions are suitable for sportspeople at all levels, from recreational through to professional.

And for any sport or activity.

Hypnotherapy is not a substitute for appropriate and realistic instruction, training and practice.  Injuries should be assessed by a Health Professional. I am not qualified to advise on these issues.

Please see "Conditions" page.

All hypnotherapy sessions are strictly by appointment at my office in Herne Bay, Kent.

Weekend and evening appointments may be available.

To book an appointment, or if you have any queries, please contact me by phone, text or email.

Please see "Conditions" page

Clients must be 16 years or older.    Clients who are 16 or 17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the session.

Hypnotherapy is not a substitute for a healthy diet, exercise and/or appropriate and realistic instruction, training and practice.  Injuries should be assessed by a Health Professional. I am not qualified to advise on these issues.

If you wear contact lenses please bear in mind that your eyes will be closed for a minimum of 1/2 hour therefore it may be preferable to wear glasses for the session.

Unfortunately hypnotherapy is not suitable for persons suffering from psychosis, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, certain types of brain damage and those who have low cognitive function.

If you are pregnant or suffer from epilepsy, diabetes or asthma, you are advised to speak to your G.P. or Health Professional prior to making an appointment although it's extremely rare that hypnotherapy will not be suitable.

Clients under the influence of mind altering substances (alcohol and/or drugs) are not suitable for a hypnotherapy session.

Please inform me as early as possible if you wish to cancel an appointment as cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur the full fee. If you are late for your appointment we will still need to finish at the allotted time.

Results may vary between individuals.
